This is us, Kathi & Alex
We are a young couple newly running Hótel Hvítserkur and the farm Þorfinnsstaðir. We are both originally from Germany but living in Iceland for more than 4 years.
We are extremely excited about this project and can’t wait to welcome guests from all around the globe in our little paradise!
We are Kathi (26) and Alex (31) and originally come from Germany. After previous work stays on the island of fire and ice, we have been living in Iceland for about four years now and had the chance to get to know and love the country and the culture and gain a lot of great experiences, for which we are incredibly grateful. We soon realized that we wanted to stay in Iceland permanently.

… was a simply incredible year for us!
Thanks to the support of our wonderful families, we made our biggest dream come true and finally settled down in Iceland.
In the beautiful north-west of the country, on the Vatnsnes peninsula, we have acquired Hótel Hvítserkur and the farm Þorfinnsstaðir. We moved to our new home this fall and are currently working at full speed renovating our hotel and cabin in order to be able to welcome our guests by April 2023.
