This is us, Kathi & Alex
We are a young couple running Hótel Hvítserkur and the farm Þorfinnsstaðir with passion and dedication. Originally from Germany, we’ve been living in Iceland since 2018.
After spending time working and studying on the island of fire and ice, we quickly fell in love with the country, its nature, and its culture. Along the way, we’ve gathered many valuable experiences and met great, supportive people — something we’re really thankful for.
It didn’t take long for us to realize that we wanted to make Iceland our permanent home.
Now, we’re incredibly excited to share this special place with guests from all over the world — and can’t wait to welcome you to our little paradise!
2022 …
… was a simply incredible year for us!
Thanks to the support of our wonderful families, we made our biggest dream come true and finally settled down in Iceland.
In the beautiful north-west of the country, on the Vatnsnes peninsula, we have acquired Hótel Hvítserkur and the farm Þorfinnsstaðir. We moved to our new home this fall and are currently working at full speed renovating our hotel and cabin in order to be able to welcome our guests by April 2023.
